It could be about (but not limited to) the erosion of civil liberties, global warming, degradation of democracy in your country or anything else that you feel passionately about.
This group is for ACTIVIST ART… photos of effigies, creative political statements, clear and bold, in your face statements providing social and or political critique and commentary.
Text and Symbolism is generally a strong indication of activist based art.
THE MESSAGE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE ART IN THIS GROUP ART MUST CONVEY THE MESSAGE CLEARLY
IF I CAN’T TELL WHAT THE MESSAGE OR ISSUE IS AT A GLANCE, IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO ACCEPT
When thinking about adding work to this group, think about protest marches and picket lines, think about how quickly those messages need to be displayed for coverage.
